Kelechi Onyeobia joined Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP in October 2022 as an associate practicing in the area of Social Security Disability.
He received his bachelor’s degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 1995 and his Juris Doctor from Pace University School of Law in 2001. He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, federal courts of the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and the District of New Jersey.
As a Social Security Disability attorney, Kelechi represents claimants in all 50 states as well as all United States territories and has more than 22 years of experience.
Prior to joining the firm, he was affiliated with other large national disability firms handling hundreds of claims annually. Kelechi also previously worked as an attorney advisor for the U.S. Social Security Administration, where he worked closely with judges in articulating post hearing decisions.
He is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR), the New York State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
Kelechi is an avid runner and completed the 50th edition of the New York City Marathon in 2021. He is also a volunteer coach for the Franklin Square Raiders Soccer Club, a youth soccer development program in Nassau County.
He is the founder and chair of the Onyeobia Foundation, established to promote elementary to college level education amongst indigent students in Akanu Ngwa, located in southeast Nigeria.
