Catherine Stanton and Edward Romano named Senior Partners
Long time Workers Compensation attorneys and advocates Catherine M. Stanton and Edward R. Romano have been named Senior Partners to the newly named Law Firm Pasternack Tilker Ziegler Walsh Stanton & Romano, LLP. Catherine M. Stanton, President of the New York State Workers’ Compensation Bar Association, is experienced in all types of workers’ compensation claims, including cases involving occupational diseases. Edgar Romano in the workers’ compensation department is President of the Workers Injury Law & Advocacy Group. He is President-elect of AAJ’s Workers’ Compensation section.
Catherine Stanton named President Society of New York Workers’ Compensation Bar Association
On May 13, 2010 Catherine Stanton was named President of the Society of NY Workers’ Compensation Bar Association. The Society was founded in 1945 under the name New York Workers’ Compensation Bar Association. Catherine is the third women to hold the position of President. The organization was started as a bar association that represented the interests of the attorneys who represented both the injured worker and the insurance carrier.

At the recent WILG (Workers Injury Law & Advocacy Group) Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, Brecher Fishman Pasternack Walsh Tilker & Ziegler, P.C. attorney Edgar Romano was honored as his tenure as President of WILG came to a close.
Among those expressing their congratulations were Members of Congress, including Ohio Representative Mary Jo Kilroy, Governor of New York David A. Paterson and Vice President of the United States Joseph Biden. Attorneys from the New York Law Firm of Brecher Fishman Pasternack Walsh Tilker & Ziegler, P.C. have been named by New York Super Lawyers magazine as five of the top attorneys in New York State for 2009 for its work in worker’s compensation and social security disability. Only five percent of the lawyers in the state are named by Super Lawyers, and five of only six total attorneys comprising the honorees in these two areas of practice are from our firm.

Senior Partner Jordan Ziegler Honored at the 15th Annual Briscoe Awards
15th Annual Briscoe Honorees, Jordan Ziegler, Senior Partner in Municipal Disability Litigation Jordan Ziegler (second from left) was one of the honorees at the 15th Annual Briscoe Awards this past January. This years’ event was run by the Emerald Isle Immigration Center at the 21 Club in Manhatten. It was created to honor Jewish leaders for their work in bettering the lives of Irish immigrants and is so named after the first Jewish Lord Mayor of Dublin, Robert Briscoe.
